FROM MY FAMILY BEING TAILORS TO COURT-DRESS MAKERS, I THOUGHT FASHION DESIGN WAS THE ROUTE TO GO DOWN, BUT REALIZED AT COLLEGE THAT MY CREATIVITY AND FLARE SHOWED MORE IN MAKING THINGS LOOK GOOD,
INSTEAD OF MAKING THINGS.

I DISCOVERED MY EYE FOR MAKING CONCEPTS AND STYLING, WHICH THEN MADE ME OBSESSED WITH TRYING TO GET THAT IDEA OFF THE GROUND AND INTO SOMETHING TANGIBLE. THIS IS WHERE I TRACKED DOWN ANNA TREVELYAN AND ASSISTED HER FOR SOME OF THE FASHION GREATS SUCH AS NICK KNIGHT. WORKING FOR SUCH AN ESTABLISHED STYLIST REALLY GOT MY FEET OFF THE GROUND WHEN IT CAME TO NETWORKING AND BUILDING MY OWN BODY OF CONTACTS, TO THEN MOVE ON TO WORKING WITH THE FASHION DIRECTOR OF GT MAGAZINE, LLOYD-SCOTT TYLER TO PRACTICE MENSWEAR STYLING AND DIRECTING CONCEPTS.

FROM THIS I TRIED LOOKING TO WORK FOR SOMEONE A BIT MORE ARTISTIC IN LIFE AND FRESH ON THE SCENE, AND I HAD BEEN FOLLOWING ALEXANDRA MOON-AGE’S WORK FOR A WHILE. SO, I SUCCEEDED IN GETTING TO WORK FOR HER AND SHE LET ME COLLABORATE WITH HER AND PUT ACROSS MY
AESTHETIC AND THAT STARTED GETTING ME ON THE MAP WHEN IT CAME TO MY OWN FREELANCE WORK.

SINCE THEN I’VE REACHED OUT TO THE CONTACTS
I HAVE GAINED OVER THE PAST FOUR YEARS AND HAVE
STARTED TO CREATE A REPERTOIRE, CREATING LOOKS AND CONCEPTS FOR EDITORIALS, FASHION FILMS AND MUSIC VIDEOS. THIS ALSO LEAD TO WRITING COLLECTIONS REVIEWS FOR THREE SEASONS NOW FOR AUSTERE AND HUF MAGAZINE. THIS HAS NOW LEAD ME TO BEING A FASHION AND FEATURES CONTRIBUTOR FOR NOTION MAGAZINE, WHICH I STYLE EDITORIALS FOR AND WRITE REVIEWS AND THOUGHT PIECES FOR THEIR ONLINE CONTENT.
